A Focus on Health & Safety at Optimise
Last month at Optimise, our engineering team took part in essential health surveillance, including audiometry (hearing) testing and lung function assessments.
Regular monitoring of hearing and respiratory health isn’t just a legal requirement—it’s a vital part of protecting our employees from long-term conditions such as noise-induced hearing loss and occupational lung diseases. Early detection allows us to take proactive steps, ensuring our team stays safe, healthy, and supported in the workplace.
These assessments form part of our wider commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards, particularly in environments where exposure to noise, dust, or fumes can pose a risk over time.
And it wasn’t just the engineers getting involved—our office team also took part in the day’s activities, with practical training sessions in fire safety and manual handling. From understanding emergency procedures to learning safe lifting techniques, it was a hands-on opportunity to reinforce key safety practices across the business.
A full day of learning, awareness, and proactive safety—because looking after our people is always a priority.
