Introducing our Steam Consultant Dave Firth

Dave has a wealth of experience and knowledge within the steam industry.

He started his journey in 1982 at West Suffolk college studying for his City & Guilds levels 1-3 in fabrication and welding, along side his apprenticeship in engineering.

In his career, spanning nearly 40 years,  Dave has worked as a maintenance and installation engineer within many industries.

In 2005 he found his true vocation, engineering in steam ! Here Dave began installing steam systems in the food and brewery industry, hospitals, prisons and MOD sites.

In 2013 he joined Optimise as an engineer but, because of his knowledge and skill set he quickly climbed the ranks to become the engineering manager. While working in this role Dave really started to shine. Using all his wisdom and skills he began to expertly design steam systems .

With his skill set, understanding of the industry and passion for steam the next logical step was to promote Dave to become our Steam consultant.

As well as all his experience Dave holds all the relevant qualifications to enable him to design, safely install and maintain any steam project that is required.
